-- . . . No.

-- ah, no?

-- No . . . no I would not.

-- -And I mean no harm in saying that. You're a good child, despite it all, and I . . .

-- I would rather not indulge this line of thinking. Pardon that.

-- . . .

-- yes . . .

-- yes i suppose . . . it is a bit unfair to you, isn't it.

-- and somewhat pedantic.

-- It is interesting to see other's takes on my kind and our existence, you know. Regardless of if they are right or wrong.

-- The rules that bind me are only in relation to confirmation: I simply cannot tell you- or others- if what they believe is correct.

-- My kind have existed for longer than the earth. At some point, things such as these become trivial.

-- am i trivial?

-- You can see me, can't you? Speak to me?

-- I believe that that proves your worth. Most humans cannot.

-- We are a parasitic species, in some sense; being able to see that, see us, it aids and hinders.

-- . . . But no. You are not trivial, ██████.

-- Perhaps my own words are useless. I have no need for concern over the same matters you do, so they may be mute, but I mean them regardless. Life is . . . worth continuing till the end. I believe as much.

-- You'll die eventually anyways.

-- . . . And for what its worth, you're a good host.

-- Non-existence was a boring sort of thing. I certainly found it unpalatable.

-- It is, in my largely educated opinion, much better to be of existence than the other way around-

-- But, I also don't blame you. I know things have been hard.

-- . . .

-- well, thank you for that.

-- i know for you, existence is a more . . . vague concept. but even so, i can't help having this sense of . . .

-- i don't quite know.

-- unrest. disgust?

-- if . . . if all of life were fake, what then?

-- if someone were to find that they lived in a lie- that they themselves were the lie- what then?

-- Quite the conundrum.

-- I . . . suppose it depends. How badly they want to stay disillusioned, how badly they want to know truth. There is a reason the wise go mad first, you know.

-- So . . . it's hard to say.

-- In my opinion, I think it better to live in ignorant bliss. I have seen lords and kings fall prey to themselves, solely due to knowledge corrupting them. Better to be stupid and happy, than intelligent and miserable- there is simply nothing to gain from knowing too much about something you have no control over.

-- do you think i'd have no control then? if what i think was true?

-- . . .

-- I wouldn't say . . . that, exactly.

-- Only that you are what you make of yourself,

-- And hypothetically, what someone makes of you.
