-- . . .
-- A small one, perhaps.
-- I think I see what you're getting at, I mean; the idea that reality is a figment of the consciousness, or that the mind induces a reality for itself to exist in.
-- Classical solipsism.
-- In that sense, I understand. I . . .
-- I still cannot say I totally agree, though.
-- and why is that?
-- In some ways, it is too reductive. In others, too complex- succinctly, you offer the idea that nothing is real at all, if only your consciousness remains.
-- Then what of Neil, or Rue- there's Solomon, or even-
-- . . .
-- . . . Even Charity.
-- There is . . . there is no world where your belief can co-exist with their existence. You make it so only yours can be concrete.
-- And the mind can only make of itself what is already founded within it; you cannot create something out of nothing.
-- Cannot create someone.
-- . . . Do you understand? There's no feasibility to your doctrine: either it is entirely true, and all of it is the grandest lie of them all,
-- Or it's all false. And still, the grandest lie. There is no solution where an answer is presented and you're able to find something in both to hold onto. You must either entirely shed your self-concept, or accept it.
-- A very nuclear place to stand.
-- And I can only be so much- if everything is in your mind, then you give yourself an answer to every possible proof against it- you rid yourself of the chance to believe otherwise.
-- This is unhealthy. You know that, don't you? What has Rue said about-
-- -you don't need to tell me about my own brother ███.
-- . . . Fine. But still, listen to him. He is licensed, you know.
-- You love those little titles.
-- And regardless of all of it, therein lies the problem: if all is an illusion of the mind, then even my suggestion of Rue is baseless, since all Rue can do is vomit what your mind believes Rue would say.
-- . . .
-- you said you don't totally agree, right?
-- Right.
-- if this was all the don't agree part,
-- what is the part you do agree with?
-- . . .
-- . . . I think . . .
-- That the universe depends on how you see it fit. In some places.
-- I believe that the world is only what you make of it, that you decide what's to be done in it, that you chose who to keep in it.
-- In your own universe.
-- I also believe that there is truth to the idea that one influences the world in ways they did not specifically dictate, but in some ways manifested subconsciously. That you can believe you don't care about the outcome of a coinflip, and still hope that it will be tails when it falls.
-- And I believe, wholeheartedly,
-- That you could be much more than you are now.
